What customers say?

“ Fantastic! Great pupusas! This is what has been missing from the SB/Goleta food scene. Really tasty, excellent flavors. I would love to see Elubia be successful! Try the pupusas! ”

- David Rachford -

“ This place is SO good! I'm Nicaragüence and grew up eating authentic El Salvadoran pupusas in the Mission District of San Francisco where we have a dense Central American population. This place is a MUST try and will end up a regular destination if you like good Latin American food and good alcoholic cider! Did I mention the Santa Barbara Cider Co. which is right there partnering with Elubia's? Yeah.. This place is a hidden jem. It's tucked away in a small area behind some other businesses, so bring your hunting specs! Good luck! Don't miss out! ”

- Alberto Olivares -

“ Ate there twice during last visit to SB and will again next time. Great fish tacos and Mexican enchilada. Fast and friendly service. ”

“ Elubia’s Kitchen is a hidden gem in Isla Vista! If you love Mexican food and want to try something new, you have to check this place out. Elubia’s serves amazing Salvadoran and Guatemalan dishes that are full of flavor and made with love. I ordered the combo plate with a pupusa, garnacha, potato taquito, and a dobadita with chorizo and papa — everything was fresh, authentic, and super delicious. The hot sauces? Spicy, vibrant, and perfect. The vibe is cozy and welcoming. We sat inside, but they also have a nice little deck for sunny days. The best part? We got to meet Elubia herself. She’s incredibly warm and kind, and shared her story of how she started this business during COVID. It’s clear she’s passionate about feeding people great food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something different and tasty. You can dine in or grab it to go — either way, you’re in for a treat. ”

“ Delicious Guatemalan food freshly made. Great vegan options. We like the pupusas and our son likes the tamales. The cabbage salsa and fuego salsa are delicious. The newest location in IV has some inside seating and the same great food as always. Such a sweet owner and staff. ”

“ Amazing food! First time having papusas since living in the Washington DC area. Fully gluten free menu. Gluten free haven with Santa Barbara Cider co next door. ”

- Mika Burkett -

“ what a gem! we’ve been to their food trucks at a variety of Santa barbara events but this was our first time going to their location at Santa barbara cider house and it did not disappoint. Food is fresh tasting and full of unique flavors. environment is laid back and fun for families. eventually music started playing too! didn’t know they had this location and am so glad. their entire menu is delicious! we will be back many more times! ”

- Rob Stephenson -

“ Stopped in the other day, service is super friendly. Energy, owner was in the kitchen I could tell she is passionate about her place. Good vibes and energy an option for patio dinning or a small space inside. I waited a little longer than expected. It was fine. I was able to enjoy the beauty of sunny Isla Vista. The chicken burrito was pretty standard, fresh. Not as much cheese as I would like and the iceberg lettuce on the side was browning. Overall enjoyed my food. Great stuff and a glorious menu offering authentic Guatemalan food. ”
